Ted Webster
Chairman
Ted has been actively involved in commercial real estate investment consultancy for over 35 years, initially in the Richard Ellis (now CBRE) investment department in 1975, going on to run the firm’s Scottish office for over 25 years and eventually, from London, serving on the group’s UK and European Boards.
Since leaving Richard Ellis, Ted has chaired and served as executive and non-executive director in companies in UK and Ireland.
In Scotland he sat on the Court of Glasgow University and was a governor of Glasgow School of Art.
His affiliation with Queen Mary dates back nearly ten years and includes sitting on the Finance and Estates Committees as well as chairing a variety of project boards in the past. He has been chair of Queen Mary Innovations Ltd and Queen Mary BioEnterprises Ltd since 2011.
Dr Ramsay Richmond
Executive Manager
Ramsay studied biochemistry at Glasgow, Kings London and then did four years of post-doctoral work in analytical biochemistry at the Royal Post-Graduate Medical School, London. After this he did twelve years as a laboratory leader in central drug discovery analytics with Sandoz Pharma AG, then Novartis AG, at the St. Johann works, Basel, Switzerland.
Ramsay returned to the UK to complete an MBA. After this he went on to work as an R&D specialist with IBM Life Sciences in Frankfurt-am-Main. He later returned to London in 2006 to market and lead the QMB infrastructure project.
Nastaran Hornett
Client Relationship Manager
Nas joined QMB towards the final phase of QMB’s fit out construction. She is responsible for the daily operation of the building, procurement, internal lease negotiations, and heads the facilities and reception teams. Nas also looks after the events and marketing at the centre.
Nas has project management experience gained from working with the Business Transformation team at Capita and is a Prince 2 practitioner. She has had a diversity of client facing roles and has experience engaging with a variety of multinational clients and suppliers. Nas also has a BA in Business Administration.
