Queen Mary University and the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry
Queen Mary University’s Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, is a world-class research institution with expertise in the challenging diseases of the modern world. There has been major investment in a full range of clinical research facilities, adjacent to the redeveloped Barts and the London NHS Trust, the largest hospital development in Europe.
The medical school has invested heavily in biological service units, genomics, proteomics, advanced imaging, flow cytometry and cell sorting together with the technical expertise to manage these facilities. Researchers in the Innovation Centre will have access to these facilities subject to capacity. There is also a supply of talented and highly qualified technical staff, both from the NHS and graduates of Queen Mary University of London.
Staff in the QMB Innovation Centre who wish to participate in the academic life of the school of medicine and dentistry can apply for honorary contracts, giving access to research and logistical services such as seminars, local library and e-resources, undergraduate student research projects, MSc and PhD student supervision, opportunities for teaching, and to be part of the vibrant research culture at one of the top institutions in the UK.
